Preserving His Resting Place as a lasting beacon of Inspiration

The Foundation ensures the dignified upkeep of Lawyer E.K. Bazawule’s grave in Wasai. More than a memorial, it inspires—honouring a man who rose from humble beginnings to achieve academic and professional excellence through integrity, resilience, faith and a life of service.

Preserving his resting place ensures that his story endures, inspiring the youth of Wasai, present and future generations, to dream boldly and act with conviction and compassion.

Community Development

For ten years following its establishment, the Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Wasai community. It does this by supporting essential social projects, including in the areas of sanitation, healthcare, education, and general community well-being.

These interventions aim to foster an inclusive and thriving environment, enabling residents live healthier and more dignified lives, to pursue and realise their full potential.

Educational Support

Recognising the transformative power of education, the Foundation offers financial support and learning materials to brilliant students from Wasai. This support—available for ten years from the Foundation’s launch—helps these young minds pursue their academic potential to the highest level attainable.

This pillar reflects Lawyer Kuntulo Bazawule’s own belief in education as a powerful equaliser and a means to break the cycle of poverty.

Our Purpose

The Foundation exists to carry forward the values, vision, and legacy of Lawyer Elvis Bazawule. The Foundation’s resources are channelled into three key areas as outlined ⎯ Preserving his resting place as a lasting beacon of inspiration, Educational Support and Community Development ⎯ which were particularly dear to him.

Governance

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees who are entrusted with the responsible oversight and administration of all Foundation activities. They are guided by the founding principles outlined in Lawyer Bazawule’s Will and are committed to transparency, accountability, and community impact.
